Drew this for a drawing challenge in the FFAC over at [ profile] ontdcreepy. Challenge was 'still water.'

Ugh. Compared to where I was a year ago I've let myself go.

A year ago, sigh

But you know, I miss drawing, and I don't. One of the reasons I got into it in the first place was because I would look at my doodles in class and think, hmm, I could do better. Seven or eight years on, I still have such a long way to go and so many areas to improve on, but it just got to the point where I could think 'Hmm, this is a pretty good doodle. I am okay with that. Moving on.'

And yet, few weeks ago I tried riding a bike again to crosstrain after years of having not ridden a bike, and found out the hard way that it's not true what they say about the perpetuity of bike knowledge. It is in fact a lie. A scabby-kneed, elbow-scraping lie. So, at the age of 20, I have to put on some training wheels and knee pads and find a soft grassy patch to wobble across if I want my crosstraining to be more interesting. I don't want drawing to go the same way. I don't want my artistic side to come in handy some day, and for me to pick up a pencil, to then wobble, fall over, and with secret shame look around for training wheels.

No. Just no. So... gonna get me a tablet, or a scanner, or just plain old pen and paper and start doodlin again.

pff--BRILLIANT XDDD it took me a while to spy the creepy part of it, but once I did I cracked up unabashedly XDD

and hahahahaha I have to agree--this summer my roomie and I rented a pair of bikes and tried to bike to Buttermilk Falls (a measly 3 miles or so from our apartment) it was so hilariously fail--I am so grateful I had my helmet on XD

I like creepy. I like creeps. Meet me at the food court? Maybe we'll find FakeWeeStephen together. Remember him?
